Aquatic Hydrotherapy

A new addition to our services at Priory Court is the Aquatic Hydrotherapy Unit designed for all age groups. As part of moving forward with our care treatment, a heated pool has been installed to benefit our residents and members of the community.

Hydrotherapy pools have a proven track record in reducing pain and increasing flexibility. All our clients enjoy the increased social opportunities this has created and the escalation of well being, as well as having fun in a friendly environment.

Studies reveal people find it easier to move in water, it helps to reduce pain from their symptoms. Those hindered by pain on land find that when exercising in water they become pain free.

The buoyancy of water assists in gaining movement and can help strengthen muscles. Hydrotherapy can help people accomplish their goals more easily and promptly.

Hydrotherapy affords a sense of independence. Where some may depend on walking aids on land it is achievable to mobilise without in water. Hydrotherapy can also improve one’s general feeling of well being and encourage a brighter outlook.

Both swimmers and non-swimmers can benefit from Aqua Hydrotherapy.
