Stowford House Care Home
The newly built Stowford House is positioned in the village of Shippon near the historical market town of Abingdon.
Abingdon is reported to be the oldest town in England. Steeped in history, a visitor can be forgiven for thinking he has been transported back in time. Taking a stroll in historical Abingdon can be richly rewarding, soaking in the sights of the Old County Gaol, the magnificent County Hall or Abingdon Museum, to name a few.
Stowford House overlooks the Oxfordshire Greenbelt sitting in approximately 1.2 acres of land, with delightful gardens adjacent to Wildmore Brook. The dual aspect countryside compliments the impressive building and provides an attractive view from every angle.
Stowford has been sympathetically designed to the highest specification with quality fixtures and fittings. All bedrooms are stylishly appointed with elegant and calming décor. Arranged over two floors all accommodation includes en-suite facilities, underfloor heating with individual room controls and built in wardrobes.
Comprising of two wings, each wing has a lounge and dining room and communal areas creating a smaller, more informal environment. Large windows offer a light and airy environment for all our residents to enjoy the french doors on the ground floor open out to the gardens, ideal for relaxation and Al fresco dining. Stowford House is truly a little piece of heaven tucked away in the beautiful Oxfordshire countryside.
