Maypole dancing in the garden was a real joy and many residents recalled tales of their childhood May Pole Dancing at school and in the villages. “DAFFODILS galore inside and outside have heralded the arrival of spring. Many thanks to Stowford Friends for distributing hundreds of blooms all across the home in the last week of March. This month we’ve been out in our minibus to Millets Farm Shop, Garden Centre and Farmhouse Kitchen, Sunningwell Church and we’ve cooked chocolate cakes, met Rachel’s dog Perdy, been entertained by Donna and by Abingdon Boys School. Birthdays and Happy Gatherings

September at Stowford House saw several birthdays and happy gatherings as well as our usual selection of activities – music, exercise, cinema, crafts, room visits etc. We celebrated a resident’s 100th birthday with a lovely “family and friends” party, held birthday outings to the local bowling alley and to a favourite garden centre.
